The short answer is yes.
As a personal testimony.
I will start with this: I did not plan on the weight loss, I was doing burst training just for exercise.
I lost 37 pounds in two months. I did not change my diet. I continued on the current supplementation that i normally take, so nothing special for weight loss.
I did this through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
I also did this while using the Xiser equipment for Burst Training. I exercised about 12 minutes a week.
So yes Burst Training works. You just have to make sure that you are actually doing it correctly. There are many people who are using the terms burst training but not actually doing it. An example is when you do burst training for an hour at a time and do not rest after you exercise.
To obtain the hormonal effect of burst training you need to stay within a one minute exercise protocol with at least five minutes of rest after the set. The one minute exercise is at an intensity that you will reach fatigue at the one minute mark. The reason why you need at least five minutes of rest is to allow the muscle to regain it energy supply. This is how you use the hormonal effect of burst training to your advantage.
Again I use the Xiser equipment because i is the easiest way to do burst training. The Xiser equipment is used by both professional athletes and the every day person. the best part about this equipment is you will never out grow it. It actually gets harder to do the stronger you become.
